Our Mission

  1.  To advocate for the preservation, protection, access, and maintenance of
    Idaho’s natural resources for uses by the public, including outdoor recreation, scenic
    enjoyment, conservation, and historical education. To be a leader in providing
    information and advocating efforts related to preserving Idaho’s exceptional outdoor
    heritage and to partner with university and research entities to provide the best scientific information to help maintain the natural resources of Idaho for all to enjoy;
  2.  To provide education and learning opportunities with regards to outdoor
    recreation, natural resource preservation and conservation in the State of Idaho. To sponsor educational opportunities related to outdoor recreation, natural resource preservation, and conservation in the State of Idaho;
  3. To promote values for maintaining natural resources in the State of Idaho
    for recreation and enjoyment by ensuring access and availability of outdoor recreation opportunities for current and future generations. To promote the values of Idaho’s rich
    natural resource heritage by assisting people to enjoy outdoor experiences;
  4. To ensure that the rights for all Americans to enjoy the outstanding outdoor recreational opportunities in the State of Idaho are maintained and preserved through involvement with natural resource and wildlife management stakeholders,
    economic development related to outdoor recreation, and land stewardship;
